I walked into their apartment on Saturday morning feeling beyond excited. Their place is located at a gorgeous high-rise residential tower in Brooklyn. It was a beautiful day outside. A bit humid, but the sun was shining brightly and the early morning air felt crisp and calm. Their cat Zoe greeted me with a long stare. I guess she was wondering what I was doing there so early on a Saturday morning.
I was early, so I waited with Megan in her kitchen area while her boyfriend Kevin finished getting ready. Megan was ready to go in a gorgeous beige Trina Turk dress. They call it the ‘Catch the Wind Dress’, a name which seems more than appropriate as the fabric blew softly in the wind when we were taking pictures up in their roof deck and later at Fort Greene Park. “It looked like the perfect dress to twirl on!,” she explained when she was telling me why she chose that specific outfit. And it was! You will see a very cute picture below of her having fun twirling in her dress.
It was my first time shooting at Fort Greene Park (and at that specific rooftop, of course), so it was fun trying to find good locations that had the best light. It was also very refreshing to work with such friendly, fun-loving people. The best part about the entire experience was watching them laugh together while I made them hold their poses. You could truly sense the love and the connection between these two. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for trusting me in documenting your engagement. I hope you love looking back on these memories as much as I loved capturing them for you.
Below is a collection of images from their very fun session.
