It’s hard building a business from the ground up. In a previous post, I talked about all of those feelings of overwhelm when you are hustling to kickstart a business while juggling many other things on the side, such as another full-time job, a social life, and your health. But despite some of the rough patches we encounter along the way, starting a business can also be an extremely rewarding process. This is especially true when you recognize that all of your hard work is going into creating something that’ll change many people’s lives for the better.
In my case, through my photography, I am doing my best to help preserve love in its most joyous and unfiltered state. It makes me happy knowing that I’m creating images that 1. make moments last forever and 2. tell stories that can be passed on and appreciated by future generations. It also makes me happy seeing people I know start pursuing their own dreams on the side, and hustling to create businesses that’ll help and empower others to be their very best selves. Case in point – my friend Alejandra Diaz.
I met Alejandra when I first moved to NYC. We both worked for the same Wall Street firm and were introduced by coworkers who quickly realized we had something in common – our love for our home, Puerto Rico. Little did I know, a few years later, Ale (as she is commonly referred to) would be working hard to gather all of the knowledge and the skills she needed in order to start a health coaching business that has an incredible mission: to create a supportive environment that allows you to achieve your health goals by assisting you in making sustainable, healthier lifestyle choices.
Ale is a true inspiration, which is why I was more than thrilled when she contacted me asking me to help her as she embarked in the process of creating a new website for her brand. I am beyond excited knowing that I can help her bring her vision for her website to life by creating images that’ll showcase what her health coaching services are all about. A few days ago, we had an initial photo session with one goal in mind: to create a few images of her that would be a true representation of who she is. It was such a pleasure working with her and I am extremely excited about how these images turned out. The images bring a smile to my face and I just felt like I had to share them with you.
If you’d like to learn more about Ale (and maybe get some tips on how you can achieve a life of happiness, health and fulfillment through self-love), you should head on over to Instagram and follow @healthcoachale. Her new website is still being built and it may be a few months before it is up and running, but in the meantime, you can check out her current website and connect with her at http://healthcoachale.liveeditaurora.com/.
