To say that my family is into photographs is a HUGE understatement. Growing up, I always had the lens of a camera pointed straight at me. It was usually my dad’s. If it wasn’t the camera, it was the video recorder. My dad made sure to document every small aspect of my life, from the moment I was born until I impatiently scowled at him for making me stop “just one more time” for another vacation photo. In fact, a few years ago, I found an old video of me that my dad patiently sat and recorded for over 30 minutes. I must have been 3 years old and in the video all I did was sing a light tune and put together a kiddie puzzle. I guess he just wanted to capture and remember that moment forever.
You see, my family believes that the little things in life are actually the big things. And the quiet, ordinary moments of life spent among the ones you love, are actually the most beautiful. It’s no wonder that the only thing that I love almost as much as capturing a young couple’s love is capturing families that grow closer as they expand. Like this cute one I photographed this past Saturday in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Because, honestly, nothing is more magical than the long-lasting bonds of a family.
Here’s a quick sneak peek from my latest family session! Can’t wait to deliver the full gallery in a couple of days!!
