Chelsea Piers Portraits | New York Portrait Photographer

When you buy the ‘Holy Grail’ of Nikon lenses, you take it out for a test run. You kindly ask your boyfriend to click the camera shutter after you set up the camera settings for him, and then pose yourself. Below are basically the images that you get.

When people ask me why I just LOVE LOVE LOVE to wait until it’s 45 minutes before sunset to start shooting portraits, well… this is the reason why! No further explanation is required after showing clients these images.

Not only was the light AMAZING right before sunset the afternoon we took these portraits at Chelsea Piers in NYC, but also the location was PERFECT to create these kinds of images. This is why I tell my clients that they should ALWAYS trust their photographer’s choices of shooting times and locations!

I hope you enjoy a few backlit images of me below!!

A good photographer knows how to do great photos. When the person photographed has a great personality, it is seen in them.
