Kimpton Hotel Eventi Family Photo Session | NYC Holiday Pictures | New York Christmas Photos

It’s Christmas time! I absolutely love this season!

The Christmas trees, the lights and the ornaments. The holiday music and all of the holiday treats. The holiday cards you get in the mail from the special people in your life (Am I the only one who does a little happy dance whenever I get one in the mail!?). The Christmas movies you get to watch snuggled up under a blanket while drinking hot chocolate. And, if you’re like me, your favorite part of the holiday season is the time you get to spend with your family and friends.

As a portrait photographer, I also get the opportunity to meet and spend some quality time with families that ask me to shoot their family photos for their holiday cards. My favorite sessions to shoot are those that bring people together and showcase the long-lasting bonds of a family.

Like this photo session I shot at the Kimpton Hotel Eventi outdoor terrace for some cherished family friends who met in NYC for Thanksgiving (a tradition they’ve upheld for the past few years). I had the honor of shooting some pictures for their holiday cards this year and, even though their session was shorter than my usual ones, I had the absolute best time!

I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite images from their session below!

P. S. With the first snowfall in NYC this weekend, the fall season is officially over! Tomorrow (Tuesday!), I’ll be sharing some images from my last fall couple’s session, so stay tuned!

P. P. S. This weekend, I shot my first ever winter engagement session! Well, not my first winter engagement session, per se. But it was my first session ever where the ground was covered in snow. It was a true winter wonderland! I’ll be sharing some of my favorite images from that session next Tuesday, so stay tuned for that too!

I love family photos because you can feel when there are real bonds between them.
